Kevin has been educating the public about Marine Science and the history of St. Augustine since 2017. He is a Master Captain as well as a local St. Augustine tour guide. Kevin is also one of the main educators for Florida Water Warriors. Kevin is passionate about the ecosystem and teaching our youth positive ways to protect our planet! In his spare time, he enjoys sports, yoga, traveling, and playing with his dogs.

Jessica is the creator and owner of Florida Water Tours, the primary supporter of Florida Water Warriors. She has had a passion for wildlife conservation since she was a little girl. She has followed her dream to provide equitable access to Marine Wildlife education through her tour company. She is also the Executive Director of Florida Water Warriors, where she continues to support science education for all students. One of her main goals is to help close the educational gap for underprivileged students. Jessica loves spending quality time with her husband, two children, and family!

Kristie has been an educator in the school system since 2012 with a Masters’s in Education K-12. She is passionate about educating our youth and inspiring all to appreciate, respect, and protect our oceans! She joined the Florida Water Warriors as the Educational Director in 2021, where she specializes in coordinating, planning, and co-teaching with Kevin. Kristie loves ballet, pilates, and yoga!

Garrett has been involved with public service for over 20 years and in the educational non-profit sector for over 5 years. Garrett is a huge proponent of environmental conservation and education, especially when it comes to the great state of Florida! In his free time, he travels with his wife and finds time for aquatic adventures.

Besides being a sales professional with over 20 years of experience in technology sales and business development, Rick is an adoptive parent who came to the Florida Water Warriors while he was going through the Foster Parent program. “When I witnessed the amazing impact that Florida Water Warriors made on traumatized foster children by showing them the marine environment and teaching them how to do empirical science data gathering, I knew that I had to become part of this unique and wonderful organization,” said Rick. Since that time we have continued to grow our outreach and impact many organizations that bring future generations of water warriors out on the water and give them environmental awareness and self-actualization. “I am honored to be involved with this altruistic and selfless organization!” Rick states.

Marcel is a former teacher and current mariner with a passion for wildlife conservation. He has taught ages K-8 in the classroom as well in the field. Originally from Ohio but taught and worked on conservation projects in Hawaii to various parts of Florida which he has now called home for the last seven years.

Steve is an attorney with over 20 years of experience. A former litigator, he now helps families and small businesses plan for their best possible future through estate planning and business transactional work. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and chasing their way too energetic dog, Luna, around the house and yard. He might also enjoy watching the occasional sporting event on tv.

Maryanne has been a Correctional Nurse for 21 years. She received her LPN in 1996, RN in 2007, and Bachelor in Nursing in 2018. Maryanne is a strong supporter of organizations that provide guidance for kids of all ages in education as well as social and emotional development. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her adorable grandchildren!
